Tufted Duck, 3/28/2012

This was also not in my plan. I was intended to photograph a Chinese Pond Heron, but found I was misinformed. When I arrived at the site, I ran into this Tufted Duck instead of Chinese Pond Heron. The duck always kept itself in a distance, testing the limit of my compact digital camera, not a SLR camera. If the photos hurt your eye, I appologize. Tufted Duck is Winter migratory bird and is partly common in Taiwan. It comes from either North Asia or Sakhalin. Male bird is mainly black and white and has long slim crown during breeding season. Female look like male, but it has a brown tone.
