Characteristics: | General Characteristics: Male bird has a complete black ring around the neck. Female bird looks mostly like male, but the black ring has some brown spots. During breeding season, the eyering is shiny golden and the forehead is white. During non-breeding season, the golden eyering is almost disappeared and the forehead is no longer white. Differed from Kentish Plover by the golden eyering and the horizontal white stripe on head top. |
