Eurasian Jay, 3/1/2012

Having been waiting in the park for hours for birds to appear, I walked toward a pavilion and saw a Jay standing on a tree trunk. Excited by the finding, I immediately took several pictures of the Jay, and then started recording, only to find all of the pictures are out of focus. So I grab one frame out of the recorded video, and post it here along with one picture I took earlier. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for visiting!

Jay can imitate the sound of other birds to lure them out of their nest and then eat their eggs. It also can imitate the sound of raptors(such as Serpent Eagles) to scare the enemy off.

This is today's photo.
