Black Drongo, 2/21/2012

Having been searching for birds for hours around the big gutter area, I strolled toward a crop sustaining shelf area and found two Black Drongos resting on the shelf, about two plus meters away from me, very close. Grasping this opportunity, I moved as close as I can get in expecting that they might fly away. To my surprise, they didn't do that. Instead, they just stood there, posing many kind of postures, and let me take as many pictures as I want.

The shiny black Black Drongo is one of the Taiwan unique subspecies. It is very common in Taiwan and can be found in cities, countryside, parks, farm fields, woods and orchards.
