Common Snipe, 3/17/2012

This is also another time I photographed Common Snipe. Common Snipe has a long long bill, longer than normal birds', which makes it easy to dug deep into the mud searching for mollusks. Their wing edges are wide and outstanding and form some horizontal lines across the body. In Taiwan, Common Snipes are commonly seen during Autumn, Winter and Spring as they are Winter migratory birds. They are commonly seen in wetlands, swamps, sea shores, streams and mud lands. The waterbirds in the Gallinago Genus all look very much alike. If I am wrong in identifying them, please let me know.
